About Me

As a Texan born-and-raised, I enjoy hiking, camping and anything to do with the great "out of doors." Getting lost staring into the vast Texas skies brings me immense joy, as well as traveling the world! I am a mom to two amazing boys, have navigated divorce and co-parenting. I love connecting with my people, cooking, laughing, playing board games and dancing are high on the list, too (Settlers of Catan, anyone?)! Throughout the past 10 years, I have worked with adults, children and adolescents in a variety of settings including: individual, family and group therapy, inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment, as well as community-based social work. I provide a compassionate, heart-centered approach to clients, have a gift for making people feel comfortable in my presence, and stay attuned to their needs in a welcoming, supportive and safe environment. I understand the value for people to arrive at their own solutions and serve as a gentle, patient guide each step of the way. My focus is on client strengths and how to enhance and bring awareness to one’s innate abilities to improve an overall sense of well-being. In my practice, I use a variety of modalities tailored to individual needs: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Strengths-Based Approach, Mindfulness, and Ecotherapy – a method to connect people with the natural world as a tool in the therapeutic process. I am an EMDR-certified therapist through the international organization EMDRIA. Trained in EMDR by Rick Levinson, LCSW in 2021.
