About Me

Jenny is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a graduate of Liberty University, and holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She uses an integrative approach to counseling based on the unique needs of each client. Recognizing the strengths and resources one already has as well as the potential for change within the human spirit, Jenny views individuals through a lens of positivity that guides the therapeutic experience. Her professional experience includes culturally inclusive work with teens and adults. She also works with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and increase emotional connection. Jenny blends humor, knowledge, and compassion to help couples, families, and individuals in an ever-changing world to explore issues that are standing in the way of living a more fulfilled life. Through a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, she helps clients to build insight and achieve balance. Striving to assist clients in evolving into healthier versions of themselves, she encourages the unapologetic acceptance of one’s unique journey. Her treatment approach includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Trained in EMDR, she also integrates eye movement and other forms of bilateral stimulation techniques within these approaches. Her experience includes helping clients with depression, anxiety, self-injury, adjustment difficulties, self-esteem, relationship challenges, life-transitions, career, and trauma. Jenny has a blended family and is a mother of six children. She has a passion for health and fitness; and the mind-body connection, which informs her treatment approach.
