About Me

Jennifer provides counselling to adults, and couples, focusing on helping individuals to understand the intricacies of human relationships, and to gain awareness into how their behaviors can impact their loved ones. She is passionate about supporting her clients to find individual and unique ways to both heal, and find meaning and purpose in difficult situations. Jennifer’s background includes prior work in various mental health settings that have included non-profit, employee and family assistance, and private practice. Jennifer has prior experience in supporting individuals experiencing Trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Stress/Burnout, Life Transitions, and Domestic Abuse. She has also completed formal training in DBT, Emotion-Focused, Gottman therapy (Level 1 & 2), and has completed EMDRIA approved training in EMDR therapy with EMDR Consulting. Jennifer finds it very important to balance both acceptance and change in the therapy process, so that clients feel understood, while also gaining the skills needed to make real shifts in their lives. Jennifer prides herself on being authentic and transparent throughout the therapy process, and joins with individuals to determine goals and develop the necessary skills to create a life worth living.

Education & Experience

Jennifer is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters in Counselling from Athabasca University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Hons. Psychology) from the University of Kings College in London, Ontario.
