About Me

I approach counseling with individuals from a personal holistic viewpoint in hopes of better understanding their world. I believe in promoting my client’s right to autonomy, self-acceptance, and to feel genuine in their experiences and connections with others. My hope as a counselor is to meet my clients where they are at and provide support for their journey, knowing that every connection made has the power to affect each of us and brings us the opportunity to make meaning in our lives. I believe there is power in the unconditional support a counseling relationship can provide. Currently accepting new clients Monday-Friday 10-5 I use a variety of counseling skills and interventions in my work with my clients and tailor my approach to each person. I was trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute and I am working on my certification. I use EMDR to help clients address and change their beliefs and perceptions about their experiences in hopes that we can improve present functioning. In my own journey, I thought that going to counseling was a declaration of how broken I was when it was actually a declaration of courage to say I AM WORTHY of feeling and being better. I want you to know that YOU ARE WORTHY of feeling and being better too. If that is too difficult to believe right now for yourself I would be happy to help you believe it.
