About Me
I became a therapist after twenty five years as a film executive and producer. While that career was a lot of fun, it left me craving a way to have more meaningful impact and authentic connection with others. My love of story and character in film feeds into my fascination with the human psyche, and how the stories we tell ourselves become the makeup of our lives, for better or worse. I have seen time and again that when people are able to challenge their maladaptive stories and assumptions- about self, others, and the world- they tap into much richer and more expansive possibilities for themselves. For many clients, EMDR makes it possible toaccess painful past events and the distorted beliefs they gave rise to, in a way that feels safe and contained, allowing for reduced reactivity, new perspectives and healthier meaning-making. In addition to my EMDR work, I have extensive training in couples therapy modalities. I am a Level Two PACT Therapist (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), have completed the EFT Externship (Emotionally Focused Therapy ) and completed the Gottman Level One Training. My therapeutic lens is heavily influenced by Attachment Theory and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I have a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, have completed a year-long training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, am a teacher-trainee in nature-based meditation with Awake in the Wild, and am currently studying Buddhist Psychology at Spirit Rock. I meet with clients virtually from anywhere in CA, and also offer in-person services in Marin.
