About Me

It is my passion and joy to help people understand clearly, cope with constructively, and heal the pain and fear we each carry as a result of our particular life experiences, while harnessing the fullest power of our strengths. I have seen again and again that even the deepest wounds and most entrenched stagnation can give way—with the right kinds of skilled support—to growth, transformation, and flourishing. My counseling style has been described as warm, collaborative, and empowering. I tailor my work to each client’s needs and goals, offering a mix of practical, solution-oriented and research-backed tools, compassionate listening, and profound confidence in each person’s intelligence, beauty, worth, and creative potential. Whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, relational conflict, self-doubt, or just want to live with more vitality and purpose, I would be honored to support you in your journey.

Education & Experience

Since 2003 I have dedicated myself to mastering the art and science of engaging the innate human capacity for healing. Building on undergraduate studies in neuroscience, education, and human geography at Dartmouth College, I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also weaving in narrative, somatic, and psychodynamic elements to my approach. I specialize in relationships and trauma healing, and I have a particular passion for supporting leaders of social justice work to embody the health, joy, and connectedness they strive to make possible for others. In addition to my private practice work, I offer consultation to local schools and nonprofits on cultivating social-emotional intelligence, fostering equity and inclusion, and implementing restorative justice practices. In my free time I recharge by making music with friends and adventuring outdoors with my family.
