About Me
Interpersonal relationships shape the way we see and interact with the world around us. Experiencing trauma can turn our lives upside down and take a toll on our relationships. While each individual has a unique reaction to their circumstance, many feel vulnerable and confused about what is safe, others may be overwhelmed by feelings of hopelessness, anger, or depression. Trauma impacts the person who endured the experience and those that they love. I provide a nurturing environment that fosters emotional wellness and healing. A place where young people and families can acquire the skills necessary for lasting change. Regardless of whether you or your child have experienced a sudden death of a loved one, sexual abuse, domestic violence, community violence, know that you do not need to go through it alone. I have expertise in using evidenced based trauma treatment with children, adolescents, young adults, and women. Working as a team, we will move you towards your goals. My style of counseling is person-centered, positive, and solution focused. My approach is direct yet empathetic, focusing on individual strengths, interpersonal relationships, culture, ways of making meaning, mental health, and personal well-being. My mission is to promote the growth and the understanding that the things that hurt you do not define you.
