About Me
Hello! I plan to start taking new clients again in November 2024. Please feel free to contact me at that time. Our meetings are a nonjudgmental space for you to resolve traumatic memories; process family experiences, explore your strengths and values; and learn helpful communication and coping skills. I specialize with young adults who grew up in high-control religious and/or homeschooling environments, who want to process their past and create a future that feels true to them. Wanting to support others from this shared background is the reason I became a therapist. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a National Certified Counselor, and an EMDR Certified Therapist. I completed additional specialized trainings in EMDR for children/teens (with play and expressive arts), for recent traumatic episodes and group traumatic episodes, and for recovering from spiritual abuse. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and creative, and I adjust what we do in our sessions to whatever is most helpful for you. My priority is for you to feel safe, welcome, and understood. Clients say that they can tell I truly care, and that our therapy process has helped them create positive changes in their lives. This is the best kind of feedback I can get, and I am so grateful to be in this role.
