Mrs. Jodie-Helen Martin, LPC

About Me
My name is Jodie-Helen Martin. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, Arizona, Virginia and Florida. I live in Georgia. Since 2008, I have been using evidence-based skills models, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused-CBT(TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing(MI), Exposure Response Prevention(ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist individuals and families in challenging the negative behaviors and cognitive patterns that are causing them distress. I have extensive clinical experience working with trauma, adolescents, diverse/blended families, and LGBTQIA individuals. Much of this time, I have been using the virtual therapeutic space. Though tele-therapy is not right for all treatment needs, I find, I can provide client centered support which I believe to be most effective for long-term change. When I am not working with clients, I can be found going on hikes with my Partner of 10 years and our two dogs, playing co-op video games, and volunteering with a k-9 rescue organization here in Atlanta, Ga.
