About Me
Initially skeptical of approaches often labeled as "life-changing," I found EMDR to be a transformative force in both my personal and professional life. After completing graduate school, I began EMDR training and quickly recognized that basic training was only the beginning. Since then, I have committed to deepening my skills through ongoing advanced trainings and regular consultation to meet the diverse needs of my clients. I have learned to adapt EMDR across a wide range of clinical concerns and continue to pursue professional development to maintain sharp, effective, and compassionate practice.
Education & Experience
Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. IFS Level 1 Trained. Additional EMDR training, including: EMDR & Ego State Therapy (focused on complex PTSD and dissociation); EMDR & Autism; EMDR & Stabilization (Finding Solid Ground). I actively participate in ongoing learning through study groups, professional consultation, and reading current literature to stay grounded in best practices and emerging insights. Some of these include: Resource Building (Andrew Leeds), Adaptation Techniques for EMDR (Jim Knipe), The Meeting Place Protocol (Dolores Mosquera) Current clinical interests include the use of EMDR with cPTSD and integration of IFS or parts work. I integrate EMDR protocols adapted for a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, autism and ADHD, infertility, grief, and identity development.
