About Me
I have been working as a psychologist for 13 years and I'm trained in many approaches to therapy, including psychodynamic therapy and EMDR. I strive to help in any way I can, so I use a mix of approaches. I help you understand what is happening to you, and how to change and heal. I share my thoughts in an ongoing and collaborative way. When relevant, I share my own experiences. I'm an LGBTQ+ ally, & I love working with and knowing diverse peoples and ways of life. I help you learn to tolerate and overcome fear, flashbacks, nightmares, and panic with trauma-informed care. I help you grow a solid internal awareness that centers you amid overwhelming feelings. You will learn to cultivate healthy and compassionate parts of yourself, and push back against harsh internal criticism and self-destructive tendencies. I am a trauma survivor. I have been helped by many healers and mentors. I find great meaning and satisfaction in sharing what I have learned. I love exploration and discovery. I am always learning, especially in history, mathematics, philosophy, physics, and psychology. I continue to pursue greater understanding and connection, especially through my work.
