About Me

Greetings- my name is Juan Miranda and I love doing my part to help make the world a better place. I am a Washingtonian that is originally from Tacoma and have been very happy to call Bellingham my home for the past 10 years.  As you might guess, living in Washington my whole life has resulted in me being an avid outdoors enthusiast and spending time exploring the wilderness out here is undoubtedly one of my favorite pass times.

Education & Experience

I have been working in mental health for the past nine years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work within numerous complex settings that have allowed me to provide support to individuals experiencing some of the most difficult situations that life can create. My experience has led me to work within inpatient rehab centers for teenagers struggling w cooccurring substance use and mental health issues; crisis work w adults throughout the community; providing mental health services at our county jail and juvenile detention center; working as a child and family counselor; and most recently the development of an outpatient mental health program for court involved youth. I am trained in EMDR and am currently working on completing my certification process, I am also certified in CBT through the Harborview Trauma Center.
