Judy Pasdach, LCSW
Preferred Name: Judy
About Me
I'm here to help you get perspective on the unexplained things that you do, feel and think that are upsetting, confusing and frightening. I work with individuals experiencing perinatal mood disorders and specialize in pre-term/medically complex birth and birth trauma. I believe we all have the capacity to heal, to experience joy and to be present in our own lives. Trauma and suffering can cut us off from our surroundings and parts of ourselves including our own inner voice. Learning to listen to and trust even our softest inner voice is a step toward living more wholly and true to ourselves.
Education & Experience
I am a CA Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work degree from Boston University. Much of my career has been spent working in community hospitals and in the VA Health Care setting providing inpatient and outpatient psychosocial support to adults with complex medical and psychological needs. This has included individuals with chronic care issues and those who have experienced trauma, neglect, and unexpected loss. Additionally, I have worked with individuals transitioning into end-of-life and have provided support with decision-making, long-term planning and spiritual considerations. I have been a NICU Peer Mentor through Hand To Hold and through California Pacific Medical Center-San Francisco.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
In addition to private practice I offer counseling through thel non-profit Mothers Care and am affiliated with The Luma Center. I serve as a member of the NICU Patient Family Advisory Board at California Pacific Medical Center-San Francisco and as a member of the NICU Parent Advisory Counsel at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and The National Association of Perinatal Social Workers.
