Julie Hutson, LPC
About Me
I understand how early attachments and neurobiology can shape our experiences and affect how we interpret ourselves and the world around us. I can help you understand how experiences are stored in the nervous system and how self-awareness and self-compassion can guide healing. You can learn how to reconnect with Who You Really Are. That is when you will find your inner peace. You are the expert on You. No one else can know how it feels to be You. I provide a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment so that you can express yourself fully as an authentic person and heal.
Education & Experience
I have an MA in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University. My focus includes grief, trauma/PTSD, public safety responders (police officers, veterans, active military/reservists, first responders), military family members, wilderness and outdoor trauma, childhood trauma, and school teachers/counselors/administrators. My education, training and experience includes Neurobiology, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Play-oriented therapy, and Art Therapy.
