About Me
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience helping adults (18+) navigate emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. Before entering the counseling profession, I served in the United States Navy as a Chinese Linguist and Cryptologist—an experience that shaped her deep respect for service, discipline, and cultural insight. As a veteran myself, I have a strong passion for working with combat veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other first responders. I understand the unique challenges faced by those in high-stress, high-responsibility roles and offer a space of safety, confidentiality, and compassion. My work includes supporting clients with post-traumatic stress, moral injury, critical incident stress, relational strain, and identity shifts following years of service. In addition to my clinical practice, I serve through Artizo Ministries providing faith-integrated counseling to those seeking Christ-centered healing. For clients who request it, I incorporates biblical truth, prayer, and spiritual insight into the therapeutic process—always respecting individual beliefs and preferences. I work with individuals experiencing: Depression and anxiety Low self-worth and confidence struggles Trauma related to abuse, betrayal, or service-related experiences Toxic relationships and emotional manipulation Chronic stress and compassion fatigue I use an eclectic, strengths-based approach drawing from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Adlerian and psychodynamic therapies Person-Centered Counseling Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trauma-informed care and psychoeducation Grounding, mindfulness, and guided imagery Assertiveness and boundary training I offer telehealth-only sessions, allowing clients convenient and private access to care. I hope to create a grace-filled environment where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal. With a deep commitment to honoring the service of others, I will walk alongside clients on their journey toward restoration, resilience, and renewed purpose.
