About Me
***PLEASE NOTE*** I am not able to accept referrals for new clients. I work within a closed hospital system, and do not have a private practice. My passion and clinical focus is on the intersections of LGBTQ+ identities, Complex-PTSD, and substance use disorders. Minority stress and systemic oppression are risk factors for mental illness and substance use, and I use my clinical skills to support my clients in their process toward recovery and integration with the self. I practice from a mostly EMDR Therapy lens, with application of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I teach at MSU Denver’s MS in addiction counseling program as well as CU Denver's MA in counseling program.
Education & Experience
I received my MA in Multicultural Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of Colorado Denver in 2018. I became licensed as a Licensed Addictions Counselor in 2019 and a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2020. I have worked in outpatient and intensive outpatient dual diagnosis treatment, in walk-in crisis, and now in integrated behavioral health.
