About Me

Hi, I’m Kate Bailey, a Registered Social Worker providing virtual therapy to women across Ontario. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, EMDR therapy, and perinatal mental health, with a particular focus on supporting high-functioning women who often appear “fine” on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted.

Many of the women I work with struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic overthinking, or feeling stuck in survival mode. Others are navigating major life transitions such as pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, grief, relationship challenges, or the emotional impact of past experiences that continue to shape how they move through the world today.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR with attachment-focused and somatic approaches to help clients better understand their patterns, process unresolved experiences, and feel more grounded, connected, and emotionally safe in their daily lives. I believe therapy should be a space where you can slow down, feel genuinely understood, and begin healing without judgment or pressure.

While my background includes specialized work in perinatal mental health, my practice has expanded to support women across many stages of life who are ready to move beyond simply coping and toward deeper, lasting healing.

Education & Experience

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in Children and Families from University of Toronto, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Religion & Culture from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of both the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the EMDR International Association.

My clinical work has focused on supporting women navigating trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, perfectionism, and the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-focused care and integrates evidence-based therapies with a nervous-system-informed lens.

Additional specialized training includes:
- EMDR Foundational Training (Perinatal Focus)
- IFS-Informed Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Perinatal Mental Health & Reproductive Trauma training
- Ongoing advanced education in trauma, attachment, dissociation, and nervous system regulation for high-functioning women and mothers
