About Me
My approach has its anchor in integrative psychotherapy, and navigates 20 years of personal study and curiosity in healing and spirituality, as well as 25 years of travel, adventure and cross-cultural communication, giving me a perspective on life that is formed by many angles and orientations. I have a particular interest in the brain-body connection, biography work, how the nervous system develops through childhood and how it receives support and regulation now as an adult. These lead to an approach that is attachment-informed and trauma-informed, allowing for my work to support the whole person in therapy, healing, integration, regulation and transformation. My work is supported by many trainings in movement, dance, brain games, meditation, breathwork, psychotherapy (integrative and attachment-informed EMDR), creativity and biography, all of which empower and enable me to understand and develop the self-care practices and emotional literacy which now form the tools and resources I draw from and offer in my work. In session, all of this becomes a foundation from which I offer empathic presence and dedicated attention to you on your journey, providing guidance where asked for, and witness where needed and offering tools and practices which are aligned to your goals and wishes, supporting long-lasting and empowering change and transformation.
Education & Experience
I bring a rich and varied background to my work, drawing from a blend of therapeutic, creative, and embodied practices. My formal training includes a BA (Hons) in Drama and Dance from the University of Exeter and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of East London. I have completed EMDR Basic Training with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness in the USA and advanced Attachment-Informed EMDR training (Parts 1 and 2) with EMDR Focus in the UK. Alongside this, I have engaged in specialist training in areas such as dreams and intergenerational trauma, creative integrations in therapy, and brain-body integration. My approach is further enriched by extensive CPD in child sexual abuse, sibling sexual abuse, substance misuse, addiction and attachment, mindfulness, and working therapeutically online. I am also a qualified Bothmer Movement Practitioner and Waldorf Games Educator, have a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and nervous system regulation, and bring over 14 years of personal Vipassana meditation practice into my work. These experiences, along with previous training in cross-cultural communication, international volunteering, storytelling, and business operations, allow me to meet clients with depth, curiosity and presence. Whether drawing on creative, somatic or evidence-based approaches, I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and attuned to your unique needs.
