About Me
I conceptualize my work as a trauma-therapist from a bio-psycho-social, holistic perspective. My work with clients begins by helping them establish six elements of self-care: exercise, nutrition, spirituality, socialization, mental pursuits, and healthy sleep hygiene. The next steps include resourcing, or building regulation skills (similar to DBT-skill building), to help clients learn how to remain in the Window of Tolerance during anxious or depressive-experiencing. These skills are essential for safely engaging the deeper work of identifying and resolving traumatic experiences through “parts-work,” like IFS or Ego-State therapies, as well as through EMDR Reprocessing Therapy. I’m an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist, and have also completed training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as in Ego-State modalities. I love helping clients discover how their past informs the present, and how consistent, positive changes can create new neurology...and HOPE.
