About Me
I've worked with an array of individuals affected by trauma. I counseled veterans at the VA during my practicum for 2 years. As a CPS worker, I saw trauma with children and their parents when I conducted investigations. As a Mobile Crisis Response Therapist on the night shift, I saw clients who were in crisis and had traumas in the past and/orhad just experienced one. Everyone has had trauma in their lives, it just varies in degrees. When I'm not counseling and working on my new private practice, you'll find me and my husband and dogs camping, fishing, rock hounding, floating, or traveling.
Education & Experience
I went to Purdue for my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Law and Society. I graduated in August of 2000. I attended graduate school at the University of Montana from 2011-2013. When I learned about EMDR Therapy and experienced it for myself as a client, I was blown away by how quickly it worked. I had tried other therapies for 2 years, but i only need 3-4 months of EMDR. And the results were amazing. I was trained in Basic EMDR October 8-12, 2024 by Dr. Jamie Marich (She is a Fantastic trainer and teacher! Read her books!) I plan to continue my EMDR training and perhaps someday, be a trainer myself.
