Education & Experience

I received my MSW from Washington University in St. Louis in 1996 and have been a licensed clinician in the state of Washington since 1998. I spent my entire career working in the area of public and private child welfare. After years of agency work, I opened my private practice in 2014 and specialize in all issues impacting the adoption constellation. I have a particular interest in open adoption, working with parents who are parenting children with histories of abuse, neglect, or orphanage care and in work with first/birth parents. I also specialize in working dyadically with parents and children on attachment issues using Theraplay and attachment focused family therapy. I have loved applying EMDR to this particular population and became fully certified in January of 2022. I also recently became certified in the IATP model at the end of 2021 which was created specifically for kids and families with trauma and attachment issues. Additionally, I am a Certified Theraplay Practitioner and I hold memberships with NASW, The Theraplay Institute, and the Association for Play Therapy. I also completed Deborah Gray's ATFT program through ATTACh and am listed as one of their recommended providers. My most recent passion is IFS informed EMDR and am currently involved in deeper training with this amazing combo.
