About Me
I believe that every person already possesses strengths and skills to heal, but sometimes layers of trauma or pain can make it difficult to do so leading to unwanted symptoms or behaviors such as anxiety, depression, addiction, etc. My approach focuses less on a person’s diagnosis and more on finding triggers, processing trauma, and establishing goals and healthy coping skills. As a trained EMDR therapist, I strive to help clients process and perceive their trauma differently, leaving them to feel free of their negative cognitions that have been holding them back from being their true authentic self. I also integrate a person-centered approach with Cognitive Behavioral interventions, relaxation, and mindfulness practices. These research-based therapeutic techniques are very effective in helping people to improve their overall well-being. Each individual is different, which means my approach to therapy changes depending on the needs of my clients. I am here to support you through this journey of healing by creating a safe and supportive environment. I would not be here today if it weren’t for the help and hope that I have received from others. I feel privileged to share that same hope and walk alongside others in their journey of self-discovery and healing. I am extremely passionate about the work that I do with my clients and I believe that my passion shines through, creating an effective, empathetic therapeutic relationship.
