About Me
I know how infuriating it can be to find a therapist you can connect with as I have personally fired 6 out of 7 of my own therapists. It’s important to note that I’m not your “typical therapist” (I dye my hair bright colors, will curse with you during sessions, and powerlift). Sometimes traumatic childhood experiences can cause long-term anxiety and even PTSD. Having suffered from some of my own trauma as a child, I knew I needed to heal myself first before I could effectively help others. It is through my own work and healing, that I have come to a place of strength and grace. And it is from this place, that I have a genuine desire to help others who are trying to recover from difficult life circumstances. I believe that any strong therapeutic relationship is built on collaboration, honesty, and the belief that change is possible. My work is rooted in shared humor, truth without judgment, a holistic approach with the mind/body connection, and building on individual strengths. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Trained EMDR Therapist (will be certified by March 2022). I graduated from Kutztown University in 2014 with my Master’s in Social Work and have worked in numerous settings over the years as a therapist and clinical supervisor: schools, in-home family therapy, homeless shelter for youth, outpatient clinic, and residential facility for adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries.
