About Me
I believe that the root of struggles with mental health- be they addiction, depression, anxiety, low self-worth- are the echoes of small and large traumas throughout a lifetime. As a therapist, I support my clients in creating new ways of coping with emotional pain and trauma that are more life-affirming and lasting. I guide clients toward creating more accurate beliefs about themselves, and healing the root traumas that are keeping them stuck- fostering a renewed and loving relationship with self and others, and access to their inner resilience. I firmly believe that we all have the potential to transform ourselves and thrive when given the right tools. My role as a therapist is to create a space of trust, safety, and compassion with which to support my clients.
Education & Experience
Throughout my career I have worked with individuals, families, and groups struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, mental illness, complex trauma/attachment trauma, and PTSD. Drawing on my own lived experience, in conjunction with my professional training, I especially enjoy working with clients that are struggling with codependency, low self-worth, shame, and overcoming the effects of childhood neglect and abuse.
