About Me

I am licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy and an Associate in Professional Clinical Counseling. I have lived in the South Bay for over thirty years and have raised five children in the community. While my approach to therapy is empathic and compassionate, it is also direct and directive. My goal is to help clients identify the root of potential issues and work collaboratively to construct a solution. My intention is to provide support, problem-solving skills, practical tools and coping strategies to help overcome negative patterns. Many people look for something beyond the question, “How does that make you feel?” I hope my sessions can not only act as a sounding board, but also provide a safe space to unload, explore and develop solutions to life’s problems. While talk therapy is an essential catalyst needed for insight and change, EMDR therapy can act as a powerful adjunctive or standalone tool for many symptoms in relation to trauma, addiction, phobias, fears, grief and/or difficult life transitions. EMDR therapy can also be used for peak performance, increased productivity, enhanced creativity and motivation for success. While sharing specific details about a traumatic experience is not necessary, we will work collaboratively, at a pace that is comfortable for you. EMDR Therapy has a unique ability to create new, more positive neural pathways, leaving the effects of negative memories of the past behind you.
