About Me

Kerri Mazzone, LISW-S is a social worker with 15 years of experience whose passion is helping survivors of trauma and individuals with serious illnesses such as advanced cancer. With 14 years working with those impacted by cancer at University Hospitals, she developed a strong interest in the role past trauma plays in helping individuals meet current challenges. She draws on her training in EMDR (EMDRIA Member), CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness to work with adults (18+) with PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, depression, chronic suicidal thoughts, codependency and substance use. She enjoys working with survivors of physical, emotional and sexual trauma, childhood neglect, sex trafficking and cultural trauma while they work to redefine life on their terms. She also loves to work with other therapists, first responders, health care workers and those dealing with vicarious trauma through their careers. Kerri is excited to engage clients in nonjudgmental dialogue to work on changes leading to greater happiness, success and fulfillment. She is LGBTQ+ Allied, Racial Justice Allied, and Kink Aware. Kerri also has a special interest in working with professionals on improving their communication and interpersonal leadership skills to take their careers to the next level.
