About Me

Kiana Maillet is a Native American (Paiute-Shoshone) Behavioral Health Therapist / Program Manager with the Youth Behavioral Health Program at Southern Indian Health Council where she works with youth 18 years and younger, and their families. In her private practice (Hiichido) she provides therapy online to all ages throughout California.

Education & Experience

Kiana's background includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D), Masters Degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Public Administration (MPA), Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Child and Family Development and Associates Degrees in Child Development and Liberal Studies. She is a Registered Play Therapists (TM), Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), AutPlay Certified, and a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Therapist (BC-TMH). In addition, She is trained in Brainspotting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF_CBT), Theraplay, Expressive Arts Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
