Kimberly Weidman-Janak, M.A.Ed., NCC, LPC
Preferred Name: Kim
I am currently serving the states of Pennsylvania and Virginia with psychotherapy via virtual healthcare. As a psychotherapist I support a client’s innate desire for growth, self-knowing, and empowerment. Using a holistic model of healing, we will explore the whole person; mind, body and spirit and seek to regain the balance that has been lost. Services are strength-based, eclectic and personalized in a collaborative process. From the initial assessment and throughout treatment I encourage and guide clients in self-discovery from the inside out.
Education & Experience
Graduated with a B.A. PSY from Pennsylvania State I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and my master’s degree in counseling from Virginia Tech. Additionally, I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Trauma Sensitive Yoga and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The majority of my work experience is with the Veterans Administration where I have worked with multiple issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and relationship problems.
