About Me
Hi! I’m Kim, a Licensed Professional Counselor who supports women 18 and older navigating the emotional weight of trauma. Many of the women I work with are dealing with anxiety, grief, OCD, relationship challenges, parenting stressors, and disordered eating. Recognizing that counseling might be helpful is a courageous first step, and I’m truly glad you are here. My approach draws from EMDR and IFS-informed work, along with gentle, body-based practices. These can help you feel safe and more able to notice your internal experiences with acceptance rather than overwhelm. I offer a compassionate space where we can explore your story and move toward healing in a way that feels genuine and manageable. My hope is to help women understand themselves more deeply, shift patterns that no longer feel helpful, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and aligned with what matters most to you. If you prefer, I’m also able to integrate faith-based support.
Education & Experience
I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Messiah University and completed additional theological studies through Vineyard Institute. Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I spent 15 years as an educator with some of that time as a school counselor, working closely with students with different abilities and neurodivergent needs. These experiences enrich my understanding of the many challenges women carry and strengthen the trauma-informed, compassionate care I offer. I am trained in EMDR therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, IFS-informed trauma work, and body-based methods that support nervous system regulation and emotional healing. I am licensed in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Ohio, and Washington, with the ability to see clients in Florida and Delaware as well.
