About Me

As a therapist, I have spent the past 20 years helping people improve their lives and relationships. For many, unhealed wounds manifest in the form of depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I work with my clients to identify the unresolved issues that keep them "stuck" and repeating the same destructive patterns of behavior. Although many current problems have a link to the past, I believe it is equally important to focus on the present in order to reduce immediate distress. I work with clients on practical skill building in specific areas of need: communication, self-esteem, anger management, assertiveness training, relaxation techniques, and boundary setting. Seeking professional help for any type of problem can be an intimidating experience in itself. I do my best to set people at ease and create an environment where they can focus on achieving their goals in a timely manner.
