About Me
With over 19 years of experience working with adults, both in person and through secure telehealt, I offer a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. My goal is to help a person feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered as we work together to identify what matters most to the person and create a path forward. I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for healing trauma and emotional distress, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you align your actions with your values, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand and change the negative thought patterns and behaviors that are contributing to your emotional and behavioral difficulties and discuss ways to intergrade coping strategies to improve your overall well-being, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and effective coping, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) to help you recognize inner parts, create a sense of harmony between them, and access their core self (the part of the self that is wise, compassionate, and grounded) to promote healing and well-being, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to foster hope and build on your existing strengths and create forward momentum, even when things feel stuck. Influenced by both my Sri Lankan heritage and my personal faith, I value creating a welcoming space for my clients from all spiritual and cultural backgrounds.
