About Me
I enjoy working as a therapist, because it allows me to get to learn about people on such a deeper level. I found EMDR after doing it in my own therapy while I was in graduate school and then working at my first group practice, I was able to see how helpful it can really be for clients. In my free time, I enjoy walking, baking and cooking, cross stitching, reading, and spending time with my dog Mia and two cats, Lilo and Bill.
Education & Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Family Community Services from Michigan State University in 2014. I then went directly into graduate school at The University of Akron in Akron, OH where I earned my Master of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling in 2017. I worked at an agency in Cleveland, OH starting as an intern in 2016. Here I worked as an intensive in-home therapist and also worked on a residential treatment unit for adolescents. I worked here until I moved back home in MI in 2018. Then I worked in a group practice from 2018-2020, until I decided to open my own practice in July 2020.
