Education & Experience
I have been counseling adults, children, couples, families and groups since 1997. I have an LCSW-R in New York State. I have treated trauma, depression, families in crisis, end of life, PTSD, chronic illness, couples therapy, parenting counseling, and blended families. I have trained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. My treatment modalities also include: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Group Therapy (EFGT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitivr Behavior Therapy TF-CBT, ACT, and Mindfulchoice. I facilitate a supervision/consultation group. I administrate and host bi-monthly peer consultation group of EMDR and SE trained colleagues, which is led by EMDR and Somatic Experiencing certified consultants for continuing education trainings. I facilitate 5 mixed gender groups in my practice. 3 are Emotionally Focused Group Therapy (EFGT). 2 are classic group therapy with integrated psychodrama.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I have been a group facilitator at Chai Lifeline annual retreats for women with breast cancer, as well as family bereavement retreats.
