About Me

I am currently accepting clients (updated 3/4/2025). I use a compassionate, accepting, and motivational style to empower people to know themselves better and improve their lives. I offer sessions in the office in Fresno, and online. Standard EMDR is great for many situations, especially single incidents that happened in adulthood. EMD can be used to work on very sensitive material and can be a good first step to desensitize the memory. I have also learned the Reverse Protocol, which is future-focused so people can get where they want to be before processing the childhood incidents. My favorite recently learned application is Ego-State Therapy Interventions to Prepare Dissociative Clients for EMDR. This gives support to wounded child parts. I look forward to tailing your EMDR experience to your situation and current mental health goals. Also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I can assist people in learning a variety of skills to improve their quality of life through mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Once a person can self-regulate their emotions, they can do deep trauma work to address underlying reasons for symptoms like intrusive memories, fear that something bad will happen, feelings of worthlessness, flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, depression, and getting triggered by things that remind a person of the disturbing event. These skills can be a great starting point to work toward EMDR if you engage in less-than-healthy coping skills. My self-care routines include practicing the skills I teach, engaging with my spiritual community, yoga, spending time with friends and family, listening to music, journaling, energetic hygiene, exercise through dance and gym classes, chilling with my cats, politely saying no to social events when I want alone time, and occasionally consulting my tarot cards.

I received my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Fresno in 2018. After 4 years of experience in public mental health, I now work for a private practice. I am comfortable and experienced with working with my LGBTQIA+ community.
