About Me

I am trilingual and in addition to English I am fluent in Spanish and French. I have lived in 6 different countries, which anchors my identity as a Third Culture Kid, another way of saying I have the capacity to hold space for folks seeking to make sense of and integrate their diverse and intersecting parts. There is strength in inhabiting our unique composition of identities as they co-exist within our one human body. And how do we develop a comfort with not feeling rooted, like we don't belong in any single place or culture, while still feeling grounded in space and time? I work with folks to develop their best-suited strategies for getting their compass aligned to their True North, a space where healing, growth and transformation can flourish with as little upheaval as possible. I am a trauma therapist who is psychodynamically trained. I weave together Relational Theory, Attachment Styles, Narrative Therapy, Child Development, Systems Work, Cycles of Violence, and LGBTQIA+ perspectives.

Education & Experience

I received my BA in Environmental Studies from University of California Santa Cruz in 1994. In 2005, I earned Certificates from the State of California through City College of San Franicisco in Child Development as well as Early Childhood Education and Administration. In August 2015, I got my Masters in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in Western Massachusetts. My clinical work has primarily been with individuals ranging in age from 4 to 80. River Valley Counseling Center in Holyoke is where I began my in-person work outside of internships, followed by Hilltown Community Health Center's Behavioral Health Department, where I worked in-person followed by telehealth. I am now in Private Practice providing psychotherapy via telehealth.
