About Me

I work remotely via telehealth. Currently, I have openings for individual therapy, and I offer 3- hour intensives for folks who are ready for reprocessing. Adjunct work is also a possibility. I am out-of-network and offer Superbills for reimbursement. *** I am a queer, white, cis-woman. Home has always been the Pacific Northwest, though this past decade has brought me back to New England, the place where my grandparents and some great-grandparents lived. *** I am trilingual, and in addition to English, I am fluent in Spanish and French. I have lived in 6 different countries, which anchors my identity as an adult Third Culture Kid (TCK). Being a TCK gives me the capacity to hold space for folks looking to make sense of and integrate their own diverse and intersecting parts, and ultimately settle into their unique way of being. *** There is great vitality in fully inhabiting the intersections of your distinct identity, as these threads, when woven together, form the tapestry that tells the story of your life: who you are in mind, body, and spirit. My passion rests in guiding each person along their path of trauma processing, with the goal of healing the wounds of the past, for good. Along the way, we uncover your desires and your capacity to feel rooted in self-approval, which ultimately supports your know-how to belong in places and spaces even when you may feel like an outsider, a stranger, a loner. Making your way through the intermittently challenging process of clearing trauma can empower you to locate your greatest strengths, the ones you can summon and safely lean on, in order to show up authentically, in the space where loneliness and belonging meet. *** I work with folks to develop their best-suited strategies for getting their compass aligned to their True North, a space where healing, growth, and transformation can flourish with as little upheaval as possible. I am a psychodynamically trained trauma therapist, committed to the values of anti-oppression. I give careful consideration to our uniquely experienced and intersecting identities (including race, gender, sexuality, class, religion, ethnicity, ability, immigration status). In my interdisciplinary work I weave together Relational Theory, Attachment Styles, Child Development, Narrative Therapy, Archetypes, Systems Work, Cycles of Violence, Grief & Loss, and LGBTQIA+ perspectives.

Education & Experience

I received my BA in Environmental Studies from University of California Santa Cruz in 1994. This field of study enhanced my capacity to understand a person within their environmental, cultural, and geo-political context. In 2005, I earned Certificates from the State of California through City College of San Francisco: Child Development & Early Childhood Education and Administration. In August 2015, I got my Masters from Smith College School for Social Work in Western Massachusetts. My clinical work has primarily been with individuals ranging in age from 4 to 80. River Valley Counseling Center in Holyoke, MA is where I began my in-person work outside of internships, and this is where I gained my experience of providing therapy in Spanish. I transitioned over 4 months to Hilltown Community Health Center's Behavioral Health Department, where I worked in-person followed by telehealth. I am now in Private Practice providing psychotherapy and EMDR via telehealth.
