Dr. Lindsay Elizondo, Psy.D.
(she/her/hers)
Preferred Name: Lindsay
About Me
I specialize in working with trauma, religious harm/trauma, women, neurodivergence, relationship issues, depth work, and LGBTQ+ folk. I believe change comes from healing relationships, processing unprocessed memories, knowing yourself and your history, connecting with your emotions and needs, having compassion for self and others, and challenging messages about who you are "supposed" to be while embracing who you are.
Education & Experience
I obtained my Masters in 2016 and my Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology in 2018. My initial education and training heavily emphasized relational psychodynamic work, which is the backbone of my practice. I have been working with clients for 11 years working with a variety of approaches, and honed in on a relational psychodynamic, emotion-focused, feminist, trauma-informed approach before starting my journey with EMDR. I was trained through the EMDR Institute, which was formed by the founder of EMDR, Francine Shapiro, and is considered a premier training organization with high standards for conducting EMDR. I'm so excited about using EMDR with clients on a variety of issues. I have seen the changes that can come from EMDR personally and with clients. This has included trauma (for which EMDR was originally made), body image issues, postpartum anxiety, attachment concerns, and social anxiety. In addition to EMDR, I am interested in expanding my current expertise in working with neurodivergent folks (e.g., autism, ADHD), attachment concerns, and psychodynamic theory.
