About Me

I work with adults who often appear “fine” on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected internally. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, yet continue to experience anxiety, overthinking, or patterns in relationships that don’t fully shift with insight alone.

My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I specialize in EMDR and integrate somatic therapy, parts work, and mindfulness-based approaches to support deeper processing and lasting change. Together, we focus on understanding and resolving the underlying patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

I bring a grounded, collaborative style to therapy, creating a space where you can be honest, curious, and fully yourself. My goal is to help you feel more connected, more regulated, and more confident in how you move through your life and relationships.

Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton in 2012.

I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, and I provide EMDR therapy and consultation to therapists nationwide. My work is grounded in trauma-focused, attachment-based approaches, with an emphasis on nervous system regulation and mind-body integration. I am also a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapist and integrate somatic therapy and parts work into my clinical approach.

My professional background includes working in trauma-focused settings with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as supporting individuals navigating substance use recovery and complex relational trauma. Since 2017, I have been in private practice, focusing on helping clients and clinicians engage in deeper, more integrative trauma work.
My clinical experience includes working in trauma-focused settings, including with survivors of domestic violence, addiction recovery, children and families, and individuals navigating complex relational and developmental trauma.

My specialty is trauma-focused attachment-based therapies. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant. Aside from doing EMDR therapy, I also teach and support other therapists doing trauma-focused work with their clients. Additionally, I am a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapist focusing on inviting the connection between mind and body into my work. Other therapeutic modalities that I use include Ego State Therapies such as Internal Family Systems, often referred to as Inner Child Work or Parts Work. Additionally, I have training in CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness, Reflective Parenting, and Solution-Focused Coaching.

My professional experience includes being a crisis counselor for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; a therapeutic mentor assisting and mentoring women through substance abuse recovery in residential treatment facilities; providing therapy services to adults in the CalWORKs welfare-to-work program at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services; and a therapist and clinical coordinator at Community Family Guidance Center where I provided therapeutic services to children and their families.

Since 2017, I have been in private practice. My journey has allowed me to deepen my compassion for the human experience. I have learned that emotional attunement is the consistent healing factor in all the different places I’ve worked. I wake up every day feeling fortunate, eagerly anticipating work that fills me with purpose and joy.
