About Me

Dr. McCormick is a Licensed Professional Counselor serving the states of Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. She is a Consultant in EMDR therapy, a Certified Perinatal Mental Health practitioner (PMH-C), a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and a Certified Clinical Services Provider for ADHD (ADHD-CCSP). Her clinical specialties include perinatal trauma, reproductive trauma, mental health concerns related to body feeding/lactation, and women's mental health including ADHD, traumatic experiences, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), matrescence, sexuality, chronic pain/autoimmune disorders, LGBTQIA+ families, and polyamory/ethical non-monogamy. After her own traumatic birthing experience in 2021, she felt compelled to transition into the field of perinatal mental healthcare and help survivors struggling with their own traumatic births and concerns surrounding lactation. Dr. McCormick's lived experience as a late diagnosed neurodivergent parent from Appalachia provides a unique clinical experience for folks in rural communities struggling with perinatal mental health concerns.
