About Me
My practice welcomes and affirms aIl people. I value openness and authenticity. In session, I offer a gentle yet direct approach where you can feel safe and challenged. Mood, stress, panic, trauma, shame, communication and relationships are some of the many topics I work with. I empower my clients to honor their uniqueness, build safe and fulfilling relationships, and develop sustainable practices for daily peace. I consider myself a “generalist” in psychotherapy practices and will use an integrative approach to change and healing. Humanistic practices are at the basis of all my work which means I believe you have the innate ability to heal and grow when given the space to. In additon to EMDR, other evidence-based interventions and approaches I use are: EFT, Somatic, Narrative, Internal Family Systems, Family systems, DBT, MBCT, Gestalt, and Attachment theories. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. I also offer superbills for insurance reimbursement. Visit lindseymandell.com for more information about my practice. Please reach out to connect!
Education & Experience
I recieved my Masters in Counseling at Santa Clara University (SCU) with an emphasis in Health Psychology. I am EMDR trained through the Institue for Creative Mindfulness. Additional trainings I've completed are: Fundamentals of Emotion Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), Suicide Risk and Assessment and Crisis Management, Managing Loss and Change (WVC), Foundations of CBT (WVC), and Polyvagal-Informed Common Factor Approach to Working with Trauma (SCV-CAMFT). In my early years of practice, I worked with adolescents as a therapist for Sunnyvale School District and also co-lead groups for graduate students at SCU. Most recently, I worked at FamilyTime Centers, an insurance based practice that serves a wide range of demopgrahics. I currently work in private practice.
