About Me
Hello, my name is Lori Ann DeChant, LMFT, LMHC, CCMHC, NCC, C-DBT a Certified EMDR Therapist and the founder of Crystal Sun Counseling-located in Hudson Falls, NY. I am a psychotherapist and a believer in life-long learning and provide EMDR Therapy as well as other therapies. I provide services in the office or via telehealth video platform. I am licensed in AZ, CA, NY and VT. I will take the time needed to get to know you and hear your story. I will assess your strengths, needs and support you in developing goals. I bring my knowledge, creativity and expertise in mental health and family therapy to those I serve. My clients are from all different backgrounds and cultures. I serve adults and as a Specialist in Infant and Preschooler MH, I help children of all ages and families to improve their relationships by providing support and the services needed to reach their goals. I have child and adult friendly environments, a large classroom for groups and training as well as a Mindfulness room.

EXPERIENCE: * Over 31 years of experience providing services to children and adults of all ages for a variety of conditions such as PTSD, Anxiety, Social or Panic Disorder, Depression, Childhood trauma, CPS involvement and Foster Care just a few areas to mention. *6 years of experience in private practice providing clinical services to children and adults. *Over 13 years of experiences working with Military populations. * Over 20 years of experience working as a Program Administrator/Director/Clinical Supervisor for residential and various Outpatient Mental Health programs. * Over 20-years of experience providing clinical training services to clinical staff and 10 years of experience providing Supervision to College Counseling Students, Interns and to Post master's pre-licensed staff.
