About Me

Margaret works with adolescents ages 13+, young adults, and adults. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, relational, and guided by the goals of each client. Margaret is committed to providing personal and down-to-earth therapy in a respectful and non-judgmental space for clients of all identities, abilities, and bodies. She enjoys taking a mind-body approach and helping clients learn how trauma and emotions are stored in the body, and hopes for clients to feel more empowered and resilient. She also enjoys helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and learn the motivations behind their actions. Margaret considers humor to be a very important part of the therapeutic relationship. Margaret prefers working through an attachment, trauma-informed, somatic, and psychodynamic lens. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and interpersonal issues. She is also comfortable treating sexual issues such as low desire, anorgasmia, and sexual pain. In her work with clients, she utilizes Internal Family Systems, Trauma Informed Stabilization, CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Therapy and EMDR. In continued self-study, she focuses on somatic work, polyvagal theory, intergenerational trauma, and IFS/parts work.
