About Me

You’re tired of telling the same story over and over and want a way out of the cycle. Perhaps you’ve tried talk therapy and find that while you’re making progress in some areas, you can’t seem to get past some sticky reactions and patterns. Perhaps you even understand how these reactions link back to your past, have developed an array of effective tools, and yet you keep falling in the same hole. This is such a frustrating experience! Believe me, I’ve been there. For some wounds, understanding is not enough. In fact, often what motivates our deepest painful beliefs and patterns is held in the body and in the unconscious. Our brain and nervous system just take over. We are acting and reacting from sense memory, confusing the present moment with experiences from our past, and this is happening often totally outside our awareness. EMDR is a powerful therapy for true healing that aligns with your body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal itself. Whether you’ve experienced one overwhelming or traumatic event, or your pain comes from many “little” experiences or slights over a lifetime (perhaps so subtle that you don’t even think they “should’ve” made an impact!), you recognize that something is off in the present and you want to feel better in life. I create an open and safe space, and will provide the map toward healing. You just need to be you. And be open and willing to give it a try. I want you to feel good and enjoy coming to therapy, even through the tough moments. Therapy with me will include deep work and sometimes be uncomfortable, of course. AND it can also be inspiring, playful, and even fun! There really is a path toward relief and healing. Let me help you move from pain to purpose! Call to schedule a free consult.
