About Me
My approach combines a bottom-up approach (somatic therapy) with top-down (talk) therapy. We’ll work together to help you restore your sense of connection to your brain and body, so you can feel more alive. I specialize in addictions and trauma, and I especially enjoy working with individuals grew up around addictive and/or mentally ill family members. I also like working with clients who are in recovery from their own addictions. Since trauma affects us psychologically and physically, it's necessary to treat both the mind and body. Using a relational approach, and Somatic Psychotherapy, we'll take time to explore what's happening with you internally (in your nervous system) so you can learn how to stay calm and "regulated" when you feel triggered. I'm licensed in California, New York and Texas. I see clients both in-person and virtually in California, and virtually only in New York and Texas.
