About Me

I specialize in working with teens and adults who feel inhibited by anxiety or depression and want to let their true selves shine through. As a registered Drama Therapist, (RDT) and a certified Hakomi Therapist (CHT), I use creative, mindful, action along with Attachment Focused EMDR to help heal and transform past trauma. Along with my private practice, I teach Shakespeare and therapeutic theatre at San Quentin prison.

Education & Experience

Marianne received her Masters from CIIS in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Drama Therapy. She is a registered Drama Therapist and a certified Hakomi Therapist - a somatic mindful therapy. She completed her EMDR training and hours with the Laurel Parnell Institute. She received her clinical hours at Hospice as a grief counselor and at UCSF Langley Porter Psych Hospital running DBT groups for intensive in-patient and out-patient programs.
