About Me

Marissa is a psychotherapist specializing in helping individuals navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and grief. Trained in EMDR, she works from an attachment-focused and psychodynamic perspective, guiding clients to explore both past and present experiences to foster self-awareness and promote growth from within. Acknowledging that you are the expert in your own experience, Marissa approaches therapy with flexibility, authenticity, and a commitment to collaboration. She values creating a genuine connection with her clients and uses honesty, compassion, and humor to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploring thoughts and emotions. With an integrative approach, Marissa teaches cognitive and dialectical behavioral coping skills to help clients develop personalized strategies for managing stress, relationship concerns, and anxiety. Her goal is to empower clients with the tools and insights they need to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience. You can expect to leave sessions feeling not only understood but also equipped with practical skills and a renewed sense of strength to face life’s challenges.
