About Me

I specialize in supporting folks who are 18+ and navigating challenging parts of the human experience, including trauma and stress, grief and life transitions, and/or substance use. As a queer therapist, I also work with 2SLGBTQIa+ individuals to navigate challenges related to living in a cis and heteronormative dominant world. I help the folks I work with discover new ways to connect with themselves, others, and the world around them in order to build a life that has more space for connection, curiosity, and presence. Sometimes being a human, and engaging in the human experience, can be hard or discouraging. I help folks explore how to live in an increasingly complex world and discover what life can be like when the past is not weighing so heavily. The relationship between client and therapist is key - I offer a free, 30 min consult for us to see if we are a good match!

Education & Experience

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) as well as an Undergraduate degree in Social Work (BSW), as well as a Bachelor of Honours in Global Development and Gender Studies. In addition, on-going professional development is very important to me. I am trained in, and utilize, a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on a client's needs and goals. These include Somatic Experiencing therapy, parts work, compassion focused therapy, and EMDR, to help clients in the areas that they feel stuck. Further, I focus on working from an anti-oppressive, anti-colonial, sex-positive and neurodivergent affirming foundation.
