About Me
I provide 100% online therapy to adults who are looking for a place to work on themselves to experience personal and professional growth, symptom reduction/elimination, and improve their life experiences. I am trained in EMDR and traditional talk therapies. I work from trauma-informed and ego states perspectives. In my free time, I love to feed my inner nerd through reading books, listening to podcasts, attending trainings, and traveling. I am an imperfect person who has made mistakes, lived in hardship, and experienced loss in its many forms but found my way through to a better, more passion-driven life. Like many of my clients I learned to grin and bare life with all its ups and downs, was often highly critical of myself, and feeling shame or guilt about my past. Through the therapeutic processes of personal discovery and self-growth, I have found peace, contentment, and a more joy-fulfilled life. Many of my clients come to therapy having accepted things like panic attacks, flashbacks, social anxiety, overthinking, working excessively, or being mistreated by others as “how things are." I know hope is hard to have when you've learned counting on others or being anything but independent only leads to disappointment. It doesn’t have to be this way and you do not have to navigate it all alone. Your story matters! You matter!
Education & Experience
I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Edinboro University of PA and have been working in the social services field for over 20 years in various capacities. Throughout my carrier I have worked with adults, children, and teens with many diagnoses. I have been a support staff, domestic violence advocate, a crisis worker, therapist, behavior specialist, care manager, consultant, and clinical supervisor. I am trained in EMDR and currently pursuing certification. My clients often describe me as compassionate, reliable, supportive, and honest. I believe, especially in our darkest of moments, we all deserve to be heard and understood.
