About Me

Therapy in not a one-size-fits all solution. As each individual brings with them a unique set of concerns, I bring an integrative approach using various methods and modalities that inform my work (CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and EFT). I am formally trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and mindfulness . Social justice informs my practice and how I look at systems that marginalize certain populations. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, transitions, and identity using a feminist perspective. My background in Cultural Anthropology provides me with a language and a lens to explore issues of identity and experiences of culture.
