About Me

Hi, I’m Medha, also known as The Brown Therapist Mama. I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant-in-Training (CIT). I am passionate about working with women across all stages of the reproductive journey, including infertility and fertility challenges, pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, termination for medical reasons, perinatal anxiety, depression and rage, and the psychological transitions of perimenopause.
I am also certified in perinatal mental health and in interpersonal (gender-based) violence. I specialize in working with immigrants and women of color and provide care that is LGBTQIA+ affirming and Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, integrating evidence-based EMDR therapy with my broader clinical training and the cultural wisdom shaped by my Indian background. In my role as a Consultant-in-Training, I provide EMDR consultation under the supervision of an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant, in accordance with EMDRIA guidelines.
