About Me

Hello! I am the owner and founder of Tend & Co. Counseling. The choice to seek counseling is a brave one and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. When working alongside clients, I focus on cultivating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. My goal is to provide you with the tools you need to feel safe and empowered in your journey. Sessions with me may include conversations around awareness of self, burnout, relationships, mindfulness, self-compassion, nervous system regulation and healing from trauma. I believe it necessary to approach each client with kindness and understanding. I recognize that the needs of each person are unique, and I work to cultivate a therapeutic relationship that best suits your needs.

Education & Experience

I began my career by helping adolescents and young adults work through trauma and navigate major life transitions through individual, family and group work. I have since gained experience working in a university counseling center working with college and graduate students struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. Additionally, I have experience as a therapist in higher levels of care facilities, working in various positions including running outpatient groups as well as conducting level of care assessments. I went to Texas A&M University where I got my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in English and went to Texas State University for my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and EMDR Trained (Eye Movement Desensitization). Read more in the next section for a more information about my qualifications.
